For Refik Anadol Studios, a custom image cloud rendering engine was developed to power large-scale, immersive art installations. This engine was specifically designed to handle the rendering of massive image clouds, consisting of millions of images, and to produce high-quality fly-through animations along spline-based camera paths. The system was built to deliver video outputs at an impressive 16K resolution, using a tile-based renderer to achieve this ultra-high definition.This rendering engine was crucial in creating deeply immersive experiences, enabling audiences to navigate through intricate image clouds with seamless fluidity. The high-resolution output ensures that even the smallest details are captured, providing a visually stunning experience that is both expansive and precise.The work produced with this custom engine was exhibited at Fotografiska in Stockholm, Sweden, where it captivated audiences with its scale, detail, and immersive quality.
