When exploring data-visualizations of wind patterns I encountered an incredibly beautiful and detailed pattern that smoothes out the higher you go in the atmosphere.

I concepted out this artwork which is a series of three data-paintings of wind patterns of different heights in the atmosphere.

The visualization are produced using VVVV and Kyle McLean's FieldTrip library.

Exhibition renderings are prouced using the Blender Cycles renderer.
